Based on a drawing from my sketchbook, this two colour print maintains the spontaneity of the diaristic drawing.
The bird perches in place of the seated woman's heart, while her face hides in shadow and her body seems to be both made of and covered by twisting branches.
This print represents the first in a continuing series of works in which I explore the mind/body connection through drawing.
